KINDERGARTEN PARTY.
Business was combined with pleasure by the Selwwyn Kindergarten Committee on Wednesday, November 12th, when they met at Mrs L. Harding's home in Bletsoe avenue- to hold their annual meeting. There were present Mrs Hamlin (;n the chair); and Mesdames Atkinson, Harding, McMullen, 'Williamson, Moyle, Griffithb. Hatchings, Carey, and Parlane, and also Miss F. Holland, teacher at the kindergarten. Officers were elec.ted as follows: — Mrs Hamlin, convener; Mrs Atkinson, treasurer; Mrs Parlane, secretary. After . the business was over, Mrs Harding entertained the members at tea, the table being beautifully decorated with ranunculus and lilies of the valley, while in the centre was a christening cake, decorated with a sugar-baby in flowing robes made in honour of the infant son of Mrs® E. McMullen, a member of tho committee. ... After tea, Mrs Hamlin,-on behalf of tho committee, presented the baby's mother with a silver spoon with his name, "Peter," engraved upon it. Mrs McMullon returned thanks, and a heartv vote of thanks was accorded to Mrs Harding for her hospitality. Opportunity was taken to welcome Mrs Williamson back on the committee.
