Some of the improved features ill the 1930 Model "Alfa Laval" Separators are: —Rust-proof bowl and discs; cleaner skimming, equalling results obtainable with large factory separators; trailing skim-milk discharge from bowl; reducing froth, also power required to drive; Tinware of new design giving added strength. , Perhaps the greatest improvement is in regard to the larger capacity "Alfa Laval" Separators, which from the 70 gallon and larger sizes are fitted with a patent ball-bearing bowl' spindle, which enables the manufacturer to do away with steel points, lower bushings, and neck-bearing springs. The ballbearing races are totally enclosed in the bowl spindle housing, and are oiled by a simple device which protects the ball races from dirty oil, water, or milk, which may accumulate in the oil reservoir.

"Alfa Laval" Separators can be fitted with driving devices for electric power or belt driven from countershaft.
