A Supreme Court jury decided that Gens Tunney does mot owe Timothy Mara one cent. Mara claimed more than 500,000 dollars for helping to arrange the match at Philadelphia in which Tunney won the title from Jack Dempsey. Mara sued Tunney for a 17J per c«nt. share of the latter's ring earnings. The trial, which lasted almost, a. fortnight, wab punctuated by the introduction of eensotional evidence showing that important political figures influenced the permit for certain "Routs in which Tunney participated. The latter's eariftngs in the last few years of his fighting career totalled several million dollars annually.,

BOXING BOUT AT ATLANTA, (Received November 12th, 8.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, November 11. At Atlanta, Georgia, Young Stribling*, 14st lib, won a ten-rounc£ decision from Dekuh, 15st 7lb, in a slow, uninteresting boxing bout.

U'UESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.J WELLINGTON, November IS. \ The Wellington Boxing Association has commissioned the well-known referee, Mr Earl Stewart, to visit America with a view to engaging boxers to tour the Dominion. Mr Stewart has been instructed to engage feather-weights and welter-weights for preference, and the men booked up should reach the Dominion early next year. While in the United States Mr Stewart will study the calibre of the amateur boxers there to determine whether it is worth while sending a New Zealand team to the Olympic Games at Los Angeles in 19.32.
