The slaughtermen at the Homebush abattoir are striking for a 44-hour week. JJo sheep or cattle sales were held at Fleming ton. The men at Riverstone' and Auburn have now joined in the dispute, making 2000 idle. Union officials state that the striko may last months, in which event the tneat shoitage will become serious. It is officially stated that the Sydney cold storage supply will last one month.
