. 9 WORK ON PENINSULA. The usual monthly meeting of tlie Banks Peninsula Rabbit Board was held last week, when Messrs Chapman, Nutt, Gardiner, Anderson, Gray, and Stock Inspector Henderson attended. The secretary reported receipts amounting to £44 10s lOd during October and the pavment of a subsidy of £l4 10s 9d on rates collected. Inspector Radford wrote that he was | still unable to carry out his duties, being under the doctor's care, ana had no report to make. Jlr Nutc promised to seo Inspector Radford, as he was living in tli© city ana desired a member of the Board to visit him. Stock Inspector Henderson, in.company with Inspector Hoskm, visitea Commander Hall's Peralji estate, ana reported that the land was in very good oondition, and they saw onlv two rabbits. Commander Hall deserved threat credit for the excellent work he had accomplished in clearinsr the area of rabbits, and they considered the state of the property was very satisfactory. The members of the Board expressed their approval of Mr Henderson's report. ... Inspector Hoskin sent m his jepor for Oftober. stating he bad destroyed 15 rabbits during his inspections tor the month. The report on the fence was received, Tt said that attention had been given to the repays required. Mr Grav reported that the gate at Teddington was broken, and the secretary was instructed to advise the fence inspector. - ■■ ——-
