At the Stadium yesterday in a wrestling match "Strangler" Lewis (17at 61b) defeated Jon Stecher (lCst) by two falls to one in eight rounds, amidst the greatest xcitement displayed by 8000 spectators. btocher gained the first fall with a body scissors in the fifth round. Lewis secured falls in the seventh and eighth rounds the head lock and body press. Both men displayed tremendous strength and fctamina.
KARA PASHA BEATS EBERT. IPBESS ASSOCIATION TELEGEAM.) NEW PLYMOUTH. September 21. Kara Pasha defeated Fred Ebert in a wrestling bout at Stratford last night, before a crowded house. Pasha had a comfortable margin of superiority and won by two falls to one.
