YOUTH IN COMMAND.
Sir Sydney Skinner, chairman of Messrs John Barker and Company, speaking at, the summer school of tho Drapers' Chamber of Trade at Cambridge (England) recently, said: "One of the growing needs in our business is to get younger men at the top. We want them there between the ages of 80 and 40. I know of businesses that nro suffering grievously because they bnve no young leaders. "Advertising in the. grapery trade has to he backed with merchandise of good quality and good value if it is to be any pood. "We are dealing mostly with women who spend about 75 per cent, of the money that is expended in'this country, and we are dealing with a sex which is keen in its appreciation of value and vcrv keen on obtaining good value."
