CYCLE AND CAR COLLIDE. MAN FATALLY INJURED. (PBZSa ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, September 19. A head-on collision between a motorcycle and a five-seater coach occilrrqd near the Pctone railway crossing, seven miles from the city, shortly before 11 p.m. One of thdse concerned, a man, is doad, while a young woinan is understood to bo in a serious condition. The body of George Carlsen chief engineer on one of the whaler Kosmo's chasers, was l'ound floating in the harbour at 7 o'clock this morning. It is surmised that he fell into the water when crossing last night to the chaser which is tied up against the whaler. He comes from Norway, and is married. FATAL COLLISION. (PBEBB ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, September 19. An inquest was held to-day into the deaths of Joseph Alfred Banks and Cicely Mabel Grigg as a result of a collision between their motor-cycle and a motor-car driven by J. M. Gamble at Heretaunga on the night of September 2nd. Gamble, according to one witness, had stated that he was following another motor-car which seemed to stop and he had pulled out to avoid running into it, and thought he struck something. Other evidence showed that after the crash Gamble's car ran into a store, doing considerable damage. The Coroner found that the deaths were the result of a collision between a motor-cycle and a motor-car driven bj Gamble.
