WELLINGTON. U'XSSB ASSOCIATE* TELEGRAU.) WELLINGTON, September 7. _ Competitors in the Wellington Competitions this year reached a record for Australia and New Zealand, there being 3149 entrants lor tlio judges to dispose of in ten and a half days on which their services were needed. It' was estimated that 600 different costumes were worn. Competitors from other centres who won leading prizes were Miss Noel Cape-William-son (Clitistchurch), society's scholarship (piano, 13-15) and Miss Verna Irwju (Carterton). .
