CRYSTAL PALACE TALKIES.

"THE CUCKOOS." "The Cuckoos" season will be continued all this week at Crystal Palace Theatre. This indeed, is not at all surprising, for it is without douDt the funniest and most cheerfully irresponsible comedy over -Bhown in the City. "The Cuckoo*" is a picture which is of the musical comedy persuasion: it has a delightfully droll plot,, some remarkable ballets (the "Dancing the Devil Away" ballet is a wonderful effort), tuneful and humorous songs; but most of all it has a lot of irrelevant and extraneous scenes which are frankly inserted so that ifessrs Wheeler and Woolsey may have a further excuse to convulse the crowds with their amazing foolery. As a pair of American fortune-tellers at large in Mexico, pursued by'gypiics, bandits, revolutionary soldiers and, of course, a vast number of coy women, they have plenty of opportunities to show the world just how funny they can be. While Wheeler and Woolsey dominate the show, the other players are not rudely thrust into the background. Jobyna Howland, a sis-foot odd actress from the New York stage, is a force to be reckoned with; nnd Ivan Lebedeff, Hugh Trevor, Mitchell Lewis, Dorothy Lee, and June Clyde are not quite'overshadowed even by Whoeler oud W Bo" plans are at The Bristol Piano Company.
