This picture will be presented at Everybody's Theatre this v.enk. Evelyn Brent has tho etarrinar role, -with Neil Hamilton in immediate support. It would have been impossible to select a mora suitable pair to play the Gibbs characters, and as both these artists are happily adapted to light loysterv playinff, their work in "Darkened Rooms" loaves nothing to be desired. Aa lot story effect, Sir I'bilip Gibbs never disappoints. Always at his best when writing of tho younger generation, he has again dealt with them in "Darkened Koome," but bis thouie in new, bold, and vastly effective. He has taken a -plun;e into the occult, as it is practised by bored and fashionable London, and' he has achieved some great dramatic scones throughout the tale. Keil Hamilton, as the young man who decides on a doubtful way of earning his living in post-war London, is brought to reason by his partner, Evelyn Brent, who wearies of deception and duplicity. With true feminine guile and cunning:, she beats him at bis own gßitie, and darkened rooms and darkened youns lives see the light of day.
