ST. JAMES' THEATRE.
"IS EVERYBODY HAPPYf* TO-DAY. Another great stage star cornea to til* talking screen in Warner Bros, and Vitaphone's latest photo-play, 'ls Everybody Happy?" which is the big feature of the new programme to be presented at the St. James' Theatre to-day. This time it is Ted Lewis, popular vaudevillo artist, and one of the liveliest musical entertainers of the stage. Ted Lewis has a ptylo that is particularly Ilia own, and the talking screen ie an excellent medium for his unuiual talents. There is an excellent plot in "Is Everybody Happy?" which is sprinkled with sparkling music, dancing, and fun. There are some moments of pathos and exciting drama, and • lie story is ono that is euro to have popular appeal. The four song hits in "Is Every bodv Happy?" are "Wouldn't It be Wonder ful?" "I'm the Medicine Man for "he Blues," "I'm Blue for You," and "Samoa."' Prominent members of (ho supporting cast ar.s Ann Pennington, who is seen in the dance that made her famous on the stage—a genuine Hawaiian hula. Alien Day is a beautiful and thoroughly capable leading lady Julia Swnyno Cordon as the mother, ind Lawrence Grant ns the father, all contribute fine performances. Supporting the big feature U an excellent programme of Vitaphon* Varieties, which makes up a splendid night's entertainment
