NAVY LEAGUE ART UNION.

TO [A3 E3ITOB Ot THB PRESS , g; r) ] feel sure that all New Zealander3 with a British blood in their veins will condemn the proposal of the Wellington branch for an art union in connexion with the Navy League. This is the, 6rst time, I believe, in British history that such a thing has ever been hinted at even, and it is regrettable that New Zenland should be the first to break the glorious tradition of the Navy. I feel sure that the Department of Internal Affairs will not consent to the Navy League being used for the sake of obtaining money by an art union, if it did, it would be an everlasting disgrace to New Zealand.—Yours, etc., DISGUSTED MEMBER. Christchurch, September 4th. 1930.
