♦—— • VERDICT FOR £205. (press association telegram.) GISBORNE, September 3. Judgment was delivered to-day in an unusual action by Mr Harper, S.M. Oscar Egden, licensee. of the new Wairoa Hotel, claimed damages in respect of alleged negligent valuation from F. L. Eastgate, Christchurch, valuer. Mr Burnard, for plaintiff, had contended that there was an over valuation, of many items and the inclusion of sinks and a liquor stand as furniture established absence of the required care and skill. His Worship held, that the over-valua-tion of carpets, tables, and chairs from* sixty to eighty per cent, established negligence, and that sinks and a liquoi stand were affiled to the premises -and' therefore wrongly included in the valuation. Judgment was given for plaintiff for £205, aod £37 cost*
