Joan Boniface, of Spreydon, a twelve-year-old pupil of Miss Bessie Pollard, has added to her list of previous musical successes by winmtig, with 89 per cent.- of marks, the gold medal presented by the Trinity College of Music for the highest marks in the senior grade. This week she was successful in gaining a scholarship in the Ashburton competitions, competing against children up to the age of sixteen. Miss Boniface previously won the Trinitv College silver medal and a local exhibition.

COMING-OF-AGE PARTY. Mr and Mrs William J. Dunlop entertained a number of their friends at an enjoyable coming-of-age p#ty given at the Cadena Tearooms, in honour of their son, Clarence.
