REPRESENTATION IN NEW

ZEALAND.

An important appointment in the motor industry is that of Mr A. W. Hawley. to represent the motor manufacturers of Great Britain. The establishment of a permanent office in Wellington is an expression by English motor manufacturers of their recognition of the importance of this market and an indication of their desire to keep in close personal contact with the Dominion and its requirements. Mr Hawley's office thus constitutes the connecting link between the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders of Great Britain, £ind New Zealand, and it is confidently anticipated that this closer co-opera-tion among the motor trade, allied with the dissemination of market and statistical information, will result in a widening of the market for English cars and trucks in New Zealand.
