LAKE COLERIDGE.

CLOUDS. BUT NO RAIN. WATER LEVEL MAINTAINED. • t The level of Lake Coleridge haß not fallen for the past three days, though the water is still over eleven feet lower than it should be. Ten points of rain fell on Saturday, but there has been none since, the report late last night from Coleridge being: "Calm, cloudy, with indications of rain." The fall over the past few days has been ,78 inch. Yesterday morning at 9 o 'clock' the water was higher than it had been on Thursday, but this was an increase of only .05 feet on Saturday's reading. It may have been due to the light Sunday load, which would tend to keep more water in the lake. Tho records of the leVel taken at 9 a.m. for the past three days are:

Friday .. .. 1658.00 ft Saturday .. 1658.70 ft Sunday .. - • • 1658.75 ft The normal level is 1670 feet. • Though the level of the lake has remained fairly constant since Friday, the inflow from the Harper river decreased from 620 cusecs on Friday to 370 cusees yesterday morning. If the rain still holds off this head of water will be further reduced. - The barometer reading from Coleridge was not available last night, bnt though the indications were for rain the attendant at the power-honse remarked that it had "16oked like that for weeks."
