At the Stadium, Jack Carroll (103t 31b) easily outpointed Wally Hancock (lOst 61b). The ex-champion floored Carroll several times, trying for a knock-out, but Carroll was too clever:
CARNERA'S EASY WIN. (Received August 31st, 7.55 p.m.) NEW YORK, August 30. At Atlantic City, Camera won on a technical knock-out from Bertazzola in the third of a scheduled ten round bout. Bertazzola never stood a chance, and absorbed much punishment from the beginning,- being repeatedly downed. The referee stopped the match to save him.
