In a fantastic wrestling display at the Stadium, Ted Thye (13st 61b) knocked out Billy Edwards (13st Btb) with a heavy uppercut to the jaw. The referee, Mr Bridges, was about to award the decision to Edwards when the latter arose and landed a staggering right swing to the referee's jaw. Edwards got the decision in the seventh round when he was -covered with blood from a cut over tho eye.
