MOTOR-CYCLIST HURT.
R» Macready,: aged 18, single, .residing in St. Albans street, was seriously injured last evening when the' motor-cycle he was riding collided with a motor-car at the corner of Bligh's road and Papahui road. Ho was ad- • mitted unconscious to the Christchurch Hospital, and at . a late hour last night was- reported, to. have regained consciousness. His injuries could not then be ascertained.; y ' A young man, 0. Hoskins, of 48 Brett's road, who was riding pillion with Macready, received injuries to his nose, but after being treated at the Christchurch Hospital as an out-patient was discharged. ; PEDESTRIAN HURT. Suffering from, injuries to a hip, an elderly man, William Craib Angus, of 19 Dominion avenue, Spreydon, was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital at 11.45 o'clock on Saturday morning. It was stated that he was knocked down by a cyclist, while crossing Durham street. Angus's condition is not serious, and he was reported last night' tobbye y making satisfactory ".progress. MINOR INJURIES. J. E. Wyatt, of Lyttelton, was injured slightly while playing hockey on Saturday. He was treated as an out-pa-tient at the Christchurch Hospital, and discharged. .H. Dahlberg, of 111 Huxley street, Sydenham, received an' injury to a shoulder during a football game on Saturday. Ee was treated in the out-' patients' department at the Christchurch Hospital, and discharged.. BASKETBALL PLAYER HURT. While playing basketball • on Saturday afternoon at Hagiey Park, Miss Gladys Buxton, aged 20, of 107 Phil- '{£??• i eU backw ards, striking Yr,L L° n ground with some force. She was rendered . unconscious and admitted to the Christchurch Hospital suffering from slight concussion.: Last night her condition was reported to be satisfactory. 1
