SOUTH AUSTRALIAN DISPUTE. TROUBLE OVER VOLUNTEER WORKERS. (UNITED "BESS ASSOCIATION— BJ ELECTJUC TELEGRAPH—COPYUIOHT.) (Received August 31st, 5.5 p.m.) ADELAIDE, August 30. Timber-workers have decided to strike on Monday. The packers and storemen have also adopted a strike decision, but will continue to work until instructed by the United Disputes Committee to cease. Many men are said to be dissatisfied with the way in which the dispute is being managed. One delegate, it is alleged, boasted, "We" (meaning the Communist Party) "are running the strike on Red International lines." ADELAIDE, August 30. The strike of drivers ordered by the South Australian branch of the Carters' and Drivers' Union has commenced, but a large number have refused to obey the order. The seamen have been given notice to cease work. The strike is intended to afford practical support to the Waterside Workers' Federation in its demand for the removal of volunteers from the wharves at Port Adelaide.
