ST. JAMES' THEATRE.
"SHOW OF SHOWS.*' A most gorgeous and spectacular talking picture, "Show of Shows," is now showing at St. James' Theatre. Lasting over two hourß, it is made entirely in technicolour and presents every star of the Warnei Brothers-Vita phone Company, from to-Tin-Tin to Georges Carpentier. The seventeen sceoos which make up the revue are resplendently dressed; the chorus numbers 400, and ia the most perfectly trained choru3 the screen has .shown; and specialty dancers, acrohats, comedianß, and coloured entertainers complete the vast attraction. A prologue of the French Revolution allows "Old Man Prologue" being beßeaded. Cn with the Show of Shows —Away with Prologue," thoy shout. A brief sketch by Jack Buchanan, the English mußical comedy star, is one of the brightest of the revue. The favourite of "Gold Diggers of Broadway," Winnie ' Lijrhtner, has lo3t none of her startling vitality in 'Singin in the Bath-tub," tlie burlesque of a popu fir song. Carpentier appears surrounded by mademoiselles and sings, with the Eiffel Tower as his background, "If I Could .Learn to Love." Myrna Loy and Nick Lucas are the principals in a Chinese number. "Bicycle Built for Two" is an , amusing comedy sketch of the olden times. The "Execution" is another excellent Bketch, though some oE its humour was topically American A huge presentation by principals and chorus of the song, "Lady Luck," ia the great finale to the "Show of Shows."
