RAWHITI DOMAIN BOARD.
♦ . At the conclusion of the meeting of the New Brighton Borough Couneil last night a meeting of the Rawhiti Domain Board was held. A letter was received from Mr It. S. Gibb asking that some trees in the Do; main which were shading his house be removed.—After discussion, it was decided to advise Mr Gibb that the Board could not comply with the request. It was decided to install an additional light in the Domain at a cost of £4 13s 6d per annum. , The balance-sheet of the Board was received from the Deputy-Controller and Auditor-General for the year ended March 31st, 1930, certified as correct. It was decided to erect six swings in the Domain at a cost of £37 10s. It was decided to purchase 100 yds of soil in order to commence the formation of a new sports ground in the Domain, i Mr Muirson Teported that newlyplanted trees had been pulled up and entirely removed at South Brighton. The Mayor said that the. Borough Inspector's attention had been drawn to the matter. Various instances of vandalism were i reported.
