LATE MR WILLIAM REECE.

THE FUNERAL. Former friends in business, municipal, and private life attended the funeral of Mr William Reece, which took place at Linwood cemetery on Saturday morning. The Rev. F. B. Redgrave conducted the service at the graveside. The chief mourners were Mr C. H. Reece, Mr Peter Reece, and Dr. L. M. Molineaux. The following members of the staff of Messrs E. Reece and Co., Ltd., acted as pall-bearers; —Messrs W. A. Caldwell, A. E. Lawry, L. B. John son, J. McKinley, S. K. Bassett, and J. Nuttall. One of the largest funerals seen in Christchurch for some time was that of Mr. James Beban, which took place at the Bromley Cemetery yesterday afternoon. Friends from all over Canterbury and the West Coast attended. A short service was conducted at the Catholic Cathedral by Bishop Brodie, assisted by the Rev. Father F. L. Dignan, S.M.
