liberty theatre. "MEN ARE LIKE THAT." There is a very funny picture heading next week's bill at Liberty Theatre. It is "Men Are Like That," and Hal Skelly and Doris Hill play the husband and wife made famous by so many stage stars in "The ShowOff," as the play -was originally titled. If Hal Skelly is splendid as tho high-toned, mediocre, ambitious husband, Doris Hill is the personification of the wives of all tho world, who smile resignedly, and say "Yes, dear," when they leel like breaking crockery. No other actreßS can listen quite so well as this quiet, subtle young woman. One is safe in predicting that those who seo this comedy will vote it one of the best. The second picture is "The Midnight Taxi," which is a drama in the realms of high adventure and romance. Tho leading players are Antonio Moreno, Helene Costello, and Myrna Loy. The plot is sound, exciting, and sustains the interest well, the words are clear, and the acting excellent. The great Australian billiards player, Walter Lindrum, is featured in a talking film on "Billiards," in which he gives an exhibition of shots, and an interesting and instructive discourse on some of the finer points of biß game. This talkie will be of great interest to those who linndle a cue. A Pathe newsreel, full of interesting events of worldwide importance, completes this programme. Tho box plans are open at The Bristol Piano Company.
