YESTERDAY'S TRANSACTIONS. Recorded dealings on call yesterday were below the average, and prices in some instances were easier. Transactions, exclusive of vestibule business, included: — 75 Commercial Bank of Australia (pref.) 45 National Bank of Australasia (£5 paid). 15 Union Bank of Australia. 100 South British Insurance. 100 Goldsbrough, Mort. 100 New Zealand Breweries. 200 Booth, Macdonald (pref.). 100 Dunlop Perdriau Rubber. 400 Mt. Lyell. 1000 Mahakipawa Goldfields. 100 Gear Meat. Commercial Bank of Australia preference shares were easier, with dealings at £6 lis 9d and £6 12s, and further sellers at £6 12s, buyers at £6 10s. National Bank of Australasia £5 paid shares weakened to dealings at £7 2s, closing quotations £7 Is 6d buyers, £7 3s sellers. Union Bank of Australia shares were released at £ll 15s, sellers staying in at that figure, buyers at £ll 13s 6d. Unsupported sellers of Bank of New Zealand shares reduced their limit to 57s 9d. South British Insurance shares weakened to 595, closing quotations 6d on either side. Goldsbrough, Morts were fractionally weaker with business at 29s Id, and there were further buyers at that price, sellers at 29s 3d. Buyers of United Building Society shares raised their bids to 15s 2d, sellers at 15s 9d. Gear Meats were released at 37s fid. I Westport Coal shares were stronger, with buyers at 31s Id, sellers at 31s 3d. New Zealand Breweries' shares were taken at 51s 4d, and more were wanted at 51s 3d, sellers at 525. Quotations for Carlton and Tooth's Brewery shares revealed weaker markets. Booth, Macdonald preference shares hardened to 4s 9d, market closing 4s 9d sellers, 4s 5d buyers. Dunlop Perdriau Rubbers were a trifle easier at 13s 2d, market closing 13s Id buyers, 13s 5d sellers. Mt. Lyells changed hands at 24s 6d and 24s 7d, and there were further buyers at 24s 74, sellers at 24s lOd—the "rights" were available at 3s 6d, buyers at 3s. Mahakipawa Goldfields shares moved up to 2sd, market closing 2id buyers, 3d sellers. Cornish Point "is paid shares appeared weaker with sellers at BJd, buyers at 7d. LATEST QUOTATIONS. Buyers.
