INQUEST OPENED.

WOMAN'S SUDDEN DEATn. The inquest into the death of Ada Jane Legge, who died suddenly on Tuesday morning, was opened before the Coroner, Mr E. D. Mosley, yesterday afternoon. Detective-Sergeant J. B. Young conducted proceedings, for the police. Athol Louison Logge stated that he was the husband of the deceased, whose age . was 32. They had five children, ranging in age from nine months to fifteen years. His wife had always been fairly delicate, and on Saturday, June 28th, had complained of not feeling well. Her condition on Sunday had been the same, and the doctor had been sent for, but he was uuable to come at the time. She had spent a bad night, and the doctor was called in on the Monday morning. Witness went to work at 8 a.m., and returned home at 4.30 p.m., finding his wife apparently much worse. The doctor had been, and had left a prescription. She had complained of violent pains, and the doctor came again at about 9 p.m., giving her an injection, and making an examination. On Monday sho again spent a bad night, and at 8 a.m. on Tuesday witness called the doctor, and again at 8.45. His wife lost consciousness at about 8 a.m., and died about five minutes before the doctor arrived. Witness could offer no suggestion as to the cause of the illness. The inquest was adjourned sine die until the completion of enquiries.
