MISS AMY JOHNSON.
REPLY TO CITY'S CONGRATULATIONS. Through tho private secretary of Miss Amy Johnson the Mayor (Mr J. K. Archer) has received an acknowledgment of the message of congratulation sent to Miss Johnson on behalf of the citizens. The letter is as follows: ; "Miss Johnson has asked me to thank you and the citizens of Christ l church for your cabled congratulations, which she received last month, and I must apologise for the delay in answering them. The countless letters and telegrams which Miss Johnson has received since her arrival in Australia have been a source of great joy to her, and she will doubtless appreciate them still more when she returns to. her homo in England."
