Wil'.nrd (Australia) 6-4, 6-2, 4-6, 6-8, 8-6. Allison and van Ryn beat H. \V. Austin and J. S. Olliff (Great Britain) 6-2, 5-7, 7-5, 7-5. WOMEN'S SINGLES. Fifth Round. Mrs Helen Wills-Moody (United States) beat Miss 'IP, E. Mudford (Great Britain) 6-1, 6-2. Fraulein C. Aussem (Germany) beat Miss Helen Jacobs (United States) 6-2, 6-1, Miss E. Ryan (United States) beat Miss Betty Nuthall (Great Britain) 6-2, 2-6, 6-0. Mme. Rene Mathieu (France) beat Miss Joan Ridley (Great Britain) 6-2, 6-1. AUSTRALIAN PAIR ELIMINATED. (Received July 2nd, 7 p.m.) LONDON, July 1. Both the Australians have been eliminated. Hopman and Willard made a courageous effort against the hard-hitting Americans, Lott and Doeg, who earlier in the afternoon defeated Malfroy and Pollard in a great match, in which the New Zealander was moßt prominent.
