OBITUARY.
MR D. J. M'CORMICK. Mr D. J. McCormick, who died recently at his residence, Jollie.'s : road, Little Eakaia, was. .67 years, old,- and' was, born at Sumner. In 1910 ;he married Miss Georgina Silk, of' Dunedih. . Mr McCormick was a , very keen and was a true friend of the angler» who came to fish the Eakaia-river beforethe huts were- built. •He was. well known in bowling circles, and in his' younger days.played football fpr Ellesmere. He-leaves a widow, one: son (Dunlop), and one daughter. (Shona). The funeral, took "place at the Ellesmere Public Cemetery., The .pallbearers were Messrs Bussell (Eakaia),- E." Silk (brother-in-law, Christchureh), and E. and F. Salvesen (Christchureh), nephews. • MR W. H. MOSES. Mr W. H. Moses, whose death occurred on Tuesday at the age of 61, was a prominent member of the Canterbury District .Council of the Workers' Educational Association, and ah active student and member of Borne of the Association's -classes. Mr Mbses took his full share of the work of popularising the W.E.A., and'at social,functions of students and friends .frequently contributed items. He attended, the latest Summer School organised .by the W.E.A., which was held at Getaldine. Mr Moses was a retired schoolmaster, and will be much missed in' ' W.E.A. circles.
