As a result of Mussolini's violent speeches, it is unlikely that tho French Government will resume negotiations with Italy at present.
The Note from Rome will remain unanswered until more favourablo circumstances arise. "Portinax," in tho "Echo do Paris, says: Now that Italy has shown that she intends to persist in her original naval programme, France must bo constrained to revive hers, and even to reinforce it considerably.
