BAND CONTEST.
TO BE HELD IN WELLINGTON.
(FRXSa ASSOCIATION TXUEGBAU.)
The annual band contest (held at Wanganui last year and at "Dunedin this year),is to take pla.ee at Welling? ton in February jaext, the programme running the full week from February 23rd. .On the recommendation of the Wellington Band Contest Committee the North Island Brass Bands'/Association has appointed Mr J. J.- Kelly, of Hamilton,' Sydney, to Se the judge. Mr E. Palliser, Wcllingteu,' will be the supervisor. No decision has yet been reached as to where the open air events are to take place, but it is likely to be at Athletic Park, where previous contests were held.
