MALE VOICE CHOIR.
The Christchurch Mate Voice Choir will make its reappearanoo on Thursday and Saturday next, when a programme, under the conductorship of Dr. J. 0. Bradthaw, will usher in the new season. Owing to th» impossibility of securing suitable dates at the Oivio Theatre, the choir for this occasion is trying the new Kndiant Hall, the acuustic properties of which are said to be well nigh perfect. The choir, in better form than ever, tvlll be heard in somo charming part-songs, madrigals, sea-songs, shanties, and traditional folk songs, each one a gem ot its class. Soloists from the choir will be Messrs S. C. Andrews (tenor), F. C. Penfold (baritone), and H. K. Hamilton (baritono). The Cathedral Choristers, who are alwiys associated with Mais Voice Choir concerts, will give their own numbers. Assisting artists will be Miss Anita Graham (contralto), and the newlyformed Christchurch String Quartet (Mr and Mrs Francis Bate, Mr Arthur Gordon, and Professor Oddone Savini). Booking opens at The Bristol on Taesday morning for subscribers, and on Wedne«day for the public.
