TO THE EDITOR Of THE PRESS. Sir,— Regarding enquiry as to the best method of pickling wheat. Lincoln College should be in tho best P°f ltlo £ to advise. Many years ago I fo ] ow <L d the advice of the then Director, Mr WE. Ivsy, which was this: 2oz of ucst bluestone dissolved in toiling wat( r r > and 2 quarts of water (cold) to the bushel. Empty wheat out on to good floor and sprinkle the mixture over it turning over three times so as to wet every grain. Bag up, in, say, 2 bushel lots, for easy handling ana reckoning of seeding per acre; reaay for use next day. (Some prefer usig 3oz bluestone and 3 quarts water to tuc bushel.) Youra, May 2nd, 1930.
