AN AUCKLAND RUMOUR. (*HJB ASSOCUTIOK TBMSCHUM.) AUCKLAND, May 1. The "Star" to-night says: It was learned unofficially this afternoon that Colonel & S. Allen, Administrator of western Samoa, wishes to retire from the post on account of the continued indisposition of his wife. " Colonel Allen took np the appointment in April 1928. The appointment was for no definite term.
