At the fourth annual general meeting of shareholders in this company, held in Dunedin, the directors* report for the year showed that the company had had a very gaccossful year, the. sales being: much ahead of previous years. The malt extract department had been kept very busy, and it had been found necessary to add to the plant in order to cope more readily with the output. The brewery and bottling house, too, showea » decided advance in turnover. The chairman explained that in recommendinc a dividend of 4 per cent, for the six months, making 8 per cent, for the year, the directors considered that it would be in the interests of the company to pay the same dividend as- last year and to add to the reserves, and the board was of opinion that it would be vise, at the present time, to act on conservative lines.
