EARTHQUAKE AT TOKIO.

NeW York reports a big earthquake at Tokio, but no news has been received ia London from Tokio. SHOCK RECORDED AT SYDNEY. (Received May Ist, 9 p.m.) SYDNEY, May 1. Regarding the London report of an earthquake at Tokio, the Director of the Riverview Observatory states that the record on his seismograph waa very small, and indicated that the earthquake had occurred in the vicinity of Japan.
