The difficulties of taking talking films in noisy streets have long. guzzled film directors. Their problem as now been solved by means of buttonhole microphones, which are worn by the players. These microphones are connected to soundrecording apparatus by wireless, and it is claimed that voices are recorded clearly against the loudest background of traffia noise.
