The owners and miners meet on Friday, after which aggregate meetings will be held in the northern fields. MINERS RESCIND EARLIER DECISION. FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO GRANT SUBSIDY. (Received March 27th, 12.45 p.m.) SYDNEY, March 26. The Miners' Convention, by a large majority, rescinded its no-compromise decision of yesterday. Mass meetings are to be held to confirm or reject the action of the convention. The Federal Government has agreed to grant the miners a of ninepence a ton for a certain period as a trial.
