R.S.A. BAZAAR AT RANGIORA.
There was a crowded attendance at the U.S.A.. bazaar at Bangiora last evening, and good business was done. Interest centred chiefly in the "king" contest and tho ladder on which the position of {he candidates was Bhown ; as tha money collected {or their support, was keenly watched. At ID p.m. the contest closed, and Mr J. W. Macleod (president of the U.S.A.) announced the result as follows : Mr C. I. Jennings 33,961 votes, which had brought in £l4l 10s Id; Dr. T. A. Will 80,960 votes, or £129 10s; Mr Mcintosh 14,198 votes, or £59 3s 3d. The.total revenue was £329 14s Id. Cheers were given for Mr Jennings, who thanked his- supporters and those who' had worked to secure his election. There will bo no crowning ceremony, but th.i "king" will appear at _ a concert to be given next Wednesday evening.
