AVON ROWING CLUB.' At a meeting of the. executive of the Avon Rowing Club the following were present— Messrs F. Agassiz (in the chair), H. Adkins, F. Brettell,' A. T. Evans, J. It. Harley, A. C. Arrow was olected an honorary member of . the club. Bishop (str) and-'L.-Patter-son (bow); Senior Dpubles, 0. Stiles ,(str),ti. - Patterson (bow) : Junior Four, G. Rushworth (str), F. H. Thompson (s),. G. Jordan (2), C. H. Bishop (bow); Junior Pair; 6. Jordan (str), F. H. Thompson (bow) Senior Pair,-C. Stiles (str), G. Rushworth (bow), A,motion was' passed iostructipg the secretary to' convey the congratulations of the. club to the Otago Eight on winning the interprovincial' eights at Auckland last Saturday. On the motion of Mr Evans it was resolved to allow ■'all' members, including nonactive ai)4 honorary, to row in the races next" Saturday for the Sugden Cup, all members to row'in the positions in which they are drawn. The arrangements for' closing'day next Saturday were completed. The date of the. annual smoke .concert wa« fixed for .May 3rd.
