COUNTY COUNCIL.

OXFORD. The ordinary monthly meeting of the Oxford County Council was held on Tuesday. Present: Mr August Meyers (chairman), and Councillors I£. F. Henderson, H. Feary, L. Watson, H. CK Cross, P# Pisher, and E. Skurr.The monthly report, which vai adopted, stated that the fords nad been repaired, and the grass graded off the footpaths in the township. Kiri Kiri road had been patched with 191 yds of shingle; the repairing of the approaches to Winter's bridge had been commenced; Brown's Rock road had been patched. It was decided to take no action in the matter. A letter was received from the Oxford School Committee asking the Council to declare Friday, February 21st, a public holiday. It was decided to allow the Council employees a holiday without pay if they wished to go to the school picnic. • • A letter was received from the Ashley County Council asking the Council to take oter the building of two bridges on the Lees Valley road. It was .decided to leave the matter in abeyance, as the recent flood had considerably damaged the Lees Valley road, which had to be repaired.
