NORTH BEACH CARNIVAL.
A meeting of those Interested 111 the holding of a beach carnival at North Beach was held in the Rechabite Hall, Bowhill road. Mt E. A, M. Leaver presided over a fair attendance. It was decided to hold r beach carnival on Saturday, March Bth. Mr H. E. Elliott v»s appointed- secretary. The arrangements for a dance in the Peaee Memorial Hall on the evening of the carnival were left in the hands of Mr A. H. Sneesby. Messrs Kennedy and Brown were asked _ to arrange for a" childrxn's dancing competition. It was decided to allow the North Beacn Surf Bathing and Life-Saving Club to run four side-shows for the benefit of the club. The Canterbury Surf Life-Saving Association is to be asked to hold the various lifo-aaving events tor the gala trophiefc
