—_♦ ANNUAL MEETING OF ST. ANDREW'S. A: the annual meeting of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, the interim Moderator, the Kiev. W. Bower Black, presided over a (cod attendance. The report of the Kirk Session, presented bj Mr A. West, stated that during the year the baptisms numbered 69. It was with IIMP regret, that the deaths had to be recorded of two of the elders, Messrs James Storry Charles Bills, and of Dr. Chas. Citlton. The membership roll now Blood, tfter eareful purging, at 486. Dufing tho ;«tr 38 were received by certificate and 49 by confession. * The treasurer (Mr R. P. Simes) presented the report of the Deacons' Court, and statement of receipts and expenditure for a period of 16 months ending October 31st, JII9. The ordinary revenue amounted _ to 11087 0« 7d, Bpccial collections and missions "1493 lis 2d. a total, with a balance of £l9B |1« Id carried forward from last year, of UT79 2s lOd. Expenditure and special (ejections paid out ' amounted to £2590 9s Si. leaving a credit balance of £IBB 13s sd. J(r Simes said the W.F.O. envelope had Wterially assisted in the stabilisation of the lainre of the church, and urged its adoption menben;. ' Mr T. W. B. Hitt reviewed the work of Iht Sunday School and daily free kinder(trtes, nn'd asked for more annual Bupnrtm for the kindergarten. Sir Fitzgerald spoke .of the work of the ladies' Guild. Mr Whitelaw on behalf of the aiistons, Miss Keys, of the Bible Class work, -«bd Mr Btuart Fitzgerald on behalf of the Y.P.B. and Tennis Club. Mr J. A. T*lt, on behalf of the elders and Je»ton«, presented Mr R. F. Simes, who is retiring from the treasurership, with a silver entree dish, and spoke in appreciation of Vr.S'Tnw'* service* during the past six and • halt jttni'-MT Simes suitably responded.
