PUBLIC BEQUESTS.
WILL OF LATE MR J. B. REID. The estate or the late Mr J. B. Reid, of Elderslie, Oamaru, was recently sworn for probate at a value of under £21,000. Mr John Alfred Cook, of the firm of Cook, Lemon, and Cook, solicitors, Dunedin, is the solo executor and trustee appointed under the will. Public bequests made under the will are: £250 each to the Canterbury Jockey Club, and the Dunedin Jockey Club, to bo applied by such clubs for the purchase of a gold cup or cups for such races as the stewards may think fit;, also £IOO each to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at Dunedin and Christchurch respectively.
