NEW BROADCASTING STATION.
INVERCARGILL ENTERPRISE. IPRSSS ASSOCIATION TSLEORAU.) INVERCARGILL. February 11. An event of outstanding importance locally was the official opening to-night, by the Mayor (Mr J. D. Campbell), of the new broadcasting station, erected in Invercargill by Mr 11. T. Parsons. This station will bo known as 4ZP. The now station is claimed to bo fie most modern of the "B" class stations in New Zealand. It is being run on the same system as the larger "Y" stations. Its wave-length is 258 metres, the same as 4ZI. Among the speakers this evening was the Minister for Internal Affairs, the Hon. P. A. do la Perrelle, while a message of congratulation was received from the Prime Minister (Sir Joseph Ward).
