CITY TRAFFIC.
PARKING OF MOTORS. NEW REGULATIONS IN FORCE. Certain resolutions recently passed bv the City Council regarding the control of traffic tome into force to-day. It is provided that no person shall leave, or permit any vehicle (other than a cycle or solo motor-cycle i to remain in the following streets: Colombo street, between Gloucester street and Cathedral square, and between the Square and Hereford street ; Moorhouse avenue between the west side of Manchester street and tnt south side of the avenue, find a lino directlv across the avenue, a distance of eight chains east of the west side of Manchester street: the west side ot Oxford terrace between Cashel and Worcester streets, and the east side between Worcester and Gloucester streets; the west side of Cambridge terrace between Gloucester and Montreal streets: the east side of Manchester street bet-wren the north-wes-tern corner of the City Council Chambers and the north-western corner of the portico of the buildings. It is also provided that no person shall, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on week da vs. except on Fridays between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.. allow anv vehicle -other than a cycle or solo motor-cycle. to remain in any one portion of certain streets for a longer period than 10 minutes (L>o minutes being allowed for trade vehicles loading or unloading). The central streets involved are • Colombo street between Armagh and St. Asaph streets. Oashel street between Oxford terrace and Madras street. High street between Hereford and Madras streets. Worcester street between Cathedral square and Oxford terrace. Manchester street between- Gloucester and Tuam streets. Hereford street between Oxford terrace and Madras street. Certain other restrictions regarding the time for which vehicles may he left in the Square are also imposed. Outside the points mentioned in what is Jcnown as the "traffic area." vehicles are not allowed to be left standing for more than 20 minutes.
