Short was ordered to pay Dominion Motors, Ltd., the imn of £2 forthwith, in default 3 days' imprisonment. CLAIM FOB FRUIT. Park Davis and Company, of Christchurch, auctioneers (Mr W. A. White) claimed from J. Kelly, of Blaketown, Greymouth, hawker, and Mrs Eleanor Reid, of Blaketown, Greymouth, widow (Mr P. P. J. Amodeo), the sum of £3OO for fruit and -vegetables supplied by plaintiff to defendants from May, 1928. to July 1929. After considerable evidence and legal argument, the Magistrate reserved his judgment. REPAYMENT OF LOAN. G. S. Simpson, of Greymouth, publican (Mr W. A. White) proceeded against A. H. hiristed, of Christchurch, claiming the sum of £3O, together with £lO 13s 4d interest from March. 1926, aa the amount of money said to have been len.t by plaintiff to defendant, and which had not been repaid. Plaintiff was non-suited. SEQUEL TO COLLISION. Z. Beri, of Christchurch, a traveller, for whom Mr C. S. Thomas appeared, claimed the aum of £95 8s Id from A. A. Holland, of Amberley, omnibus proprietor, and Central Bott, of Christchurch, milk vendor, both of whom were represented by Mr A. W. Brown. In his statement of claim, plaintiff alleged that on July 19th, 1929, he was driving his motor-car south along the Main Worth road. Papanui, on his correct side of the road when a motor-car driven by Central Bott collided with him on the northeastern corner of the north road and Preston road. The collision wa3 caused by the negligence of both the defendants or .by the negligence of one of them. Plaintiff complained that the negligence was that each of the defendants were driving northwards on their wrong side of the read and were driving at a speed which was excessive in th* circumstances, without keeping a proper look-out, and that when a collision was imminent they took no proper steps to avoid such collision. As a result of th» collision, plaintiff suffered damages and losses totalling £95 Ss Id, of which particulars were given in hiß statement of his claim. Hill), claimed from R. A. Carver. of Fendalton. butcher fMr M. J. Burns). the sum of £l3 10s for grazing nine head of cattle be'ongin? to the defendant from August 27th. 1929. to November 4th, 1929.
