CANCER RESEARCH.
AN AUCKLAND COMMITTEE. [THE TRESS Special Service] AUCKLAND; December 17. A committee of medical experts has been appointed from its members by the honorary staff at the Auckland Hospital for the purpose of carrying out research into cancer. Although the committee will confine its activities chieflv to Auckland, it will eo-operate to a certain extent with the Auckland Hospital Board and the Central Committee in Dtinedin. The following personnel of the committee was reported to the Board by Br. C. E. Maguire, Medical Superintendent:—Dr. W. Gilmour, bacteriologist (chairman), Dr. T. \V. J. Johnson (physician). Mr Kenneth Mackenzie (surgeon), Dr. J. Hardie Neil (ear. eye, nose, and throat specialist), Dr. W. A. Fairclough (eye specialist), Dr. H. W". Wilson (dermatalogist). Dr. D. Robb (surgeon), and Dr. Neil MeDougall (radiologist). Dr. E. B. Gunson will act on the committee as lepresentative of the Board. DAILY MEMORANDA—Wed., Dec lttfa.
