Record entries were received for the Hew Zetland Ciolf Championships, to be played 00 the Wanganui Oolf Club'si Belmont Links, commencing on September 26th, and continuing utotil October 4th. There are seventy professionals and amateurs with a national handicap of six and under, entered in the open and amateur championships. With approximately twenty-live with national handicaps of seven and over, aud u limit 78 competitors, this will mean a draw for the laat two of the 72 places. The committee have decided to allow other entrants to play, provided they are agreeable to start before 8.30 a.m., »r after 11.30 am. If those players have to start later in the morning their afternoon round will commence at approximately 3 p.m. Preference aa to the time of starting of additional entrants will be given to those with lower handicaps- All who have entered are being circularised to this effect.
